Building a party that actually survives in Emberfall Saga
Emberfall Saga throws a lot of systems at you early, and most people ignore the stance mechanic for far too long. I did. Once I started swapping stances mid-battle, every fight got easier, because it means one character can fill two roles depending on the turn.
My go-to party ends up being a durable frontliner, a flexible mid-liner who swaps between damage and support, one dedicated healer, and a burst damage dealer for finishing key enemies. The mid-liner is the glue — starting a fight defensive and shifting to offence once the healer is set up.
Don't sleep on turn order. Speed stats decide who acts first, and there were bosses I only beat because my healer moved before the big incoming hit. If a fight keeps going wrong, check whether you're just getting out-sped rather than out-damaged.
Grinding is optional here, which is refreshing. If a story battle is too tough, it's usually a positioning or stance issue, not a level issue. Try the fight three ways before you go farm — you'll often crack it.
