Iron Tide Command

★★★★☆ 4.3 Editor rating

Iron Tide Command is a strategy game that trusts you to think. You command a fleet across a stylised map, and winning is far more about positioning and supply than about having the biggest ships. Cut an enemy's supply line and their fleet slowly loses steam — that mechanic alone reshapes how you play.

Controls translate well to touch. You draw movement paths with your finger and set formations from a clean radial menu. It can get busy in bigger battles, but there's a slow-time toggle that lets you issue orders without panicking. I lost a couple of early missions purely because I overextended, and the game was right to punish me for it.

This is the kind of game you learn by losing. Once the systems click, though, planning a pincer that actually lands feels great. Not for people who want instant action, but very rewarding if you enjoy a proper tactical puzzle.
