About

Pocket Playbook started as a group chat where a few of us kept swapping tips for whatever mobile game we were stuck on that week. It grew into this: a small editorial team that plays games properly before writing a single word about them.

We cover mobile games across every genre we can get our hands on — role-playing, strategy, racing, puzzles, whatever grabs us. The rule is simple. If someone on the team hasn't finished a decent chunk of the game, we don't publish a guide for it.

Games get chosen by a mix of what readers ask about and what we're genuinely curious to try. We rotate picks so we're not all writing about the same three titles. Sometimes a small game surprises everyone and jumps the queue.

Everything here is written by hand. We take screenshots ourselves, note down the fiddly bits, and try to explain mechanics the way you'd explain them to a friend across the table.

Elias Berger — Elias has been reviewing mobile games for over a decade and still gets annoyed when a tutorial skips the important part. He leads the editorial team and plays far too many racing games.
