Emberfall Saga
Emberfall Saga is a proper RPG that respects your time on a phone. Battles are turn-based and you build a party of four, mixing tanks, healers and damage dealers. The clever bit is a stance system — swapping a character's stance mid-fight changes their whole kit, so you're always thinking a turn ahead rather than tapping attack on repeat.
The story surprised me. There are branching decisions that actually shift which companions stick around, and I ended up replaying an early chapter just to see the other path. Character writing is above what I expected from a mobile release. Progression is generous without feeling like it's throwing loot at you to keep you playing.
If you like sitting down with a real RPG but only have twenty minutes at a time, this handles that well. Battles pause cleanly and the auto-battle for grinding is there when you want it, off when you don't.
